EN: This PhD dissertation focuses on the brega scene in Belém do Pará. A thorough analysis encompasses the various roles involved in the making of this music scene. These include sound technicians, singers, musicians, fan clubs, and aparelhagens owners. The work provides an analysis of the historical evolution of the so-called ‘brega circuit’, from the bolero parties of the 1950s to modern sound system shows characterized by powerful sounds and electronic beats.

PT: A pesquisa enfoca no universo do brega em Belém do Pará, realizando uma análise minuciosa que abrange diversos atores envolvidos no processo de construção do ambiente festivo. Esses atores incluem técnicos de som, cantores, músicos, fãs-clubes e donos de aparelhagens. A obra realiza uma análise da evolução histórica do denominado “circuito bregueiro”, desde as festas de bolero dos anos 50 até os modernos shows de aparelhagem, caracterizados por seus sons potentes e batidas eletrônicas.
