EN: The political resistance that takes place within the limits of the body and produces performative symbols that are disputed, shared, and hybridized by the urban youth collectives in different-but-similar Brazilian cities is the starting point of this visual narrative conducted by the researcher and musician Ramusyo Brasil. The cartographies of reggae music dances in São Luís (MA) of Brazilian funk parties in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), and of tecnobrega events in Belém (PA) trace a peculiar path of images to analyze the techniques of the self and the corporeal writings of regular patrons, usually from poor urban areas. They synchronize multiple layers of meaning: from ritual to fashion, from dance steps to trance, as well as the symbolic exchanges between the Caribbean and Africa, multiplying possibilities, and taking place amid the diverse flows of signs and subjects that animates these spaces. In the three cases presented, the socioeconomic condition of the protagonists of the parties/ dances is similar, and thus fundamental in understanding the process of subjectivity production. This process acts by the shock of taste, and it reveals power lines whose visibility is framed by social and communication theories from the field of aesthetics, revealing the power of the gesture as performed by the body and its images.

PT: A resistência política que acontece nos limites do corpo e que produz símbolos performativos, disputados, compartilhados e hibridizados pelos coletivos de jovens urbanos em diferentes (e semelhantes) cidades brasileiras é o ponto de partida desta narrativa visual conduzida pelo pesquisador e músico Ramusyo Brasil. As cartografias dos bailes de reggae em São Luís – MA, das festas de funk no Rio de Janeiro – RJ e do tecnobrega em Belém- -PA traçam um caminho peculiar de imagens para analisar as técnicas de si e escritas de corpo dos frequentadores – na maioria oriundos das zonas mais pobres das cidades – que sincronizam múltiplas camadas de sentidos: do ritual à moda, dos passos de dança ao transe, das trocas simbólicas com Caribe e África, em suas múltiplas possibilidades, que acontecem em meio aos diversos fluxos de signos e sujeitos que se encontram nesses espaços. Nos três casos apresentados a condição socioeconômica dos protagonistas das festas/bailes é semelhante e fundamental para entender o processo de produção de subjetividade, que age pelo choque de gosto e revela linhas de força cuja visibilidade é lançada pelas teorias sociais e da comunicação a partir do campo da estética, na potência do gesto que se atualiza através do corpo e suas imagens.
