How long will it take?

Filling out the survey will take about 5 minutes or less.

What do I need to fill out the survey?

Just a laptop or a mobile phone. We suggest using your laptop as more comfortable, but if you can’t your phone will work just as good. If you got a picture of your sound system on the device, you are using to fill out the survey that would be a great plus!

How will this work?

The survey is about your sound system’s history, crew, music and technology. Just fill out the form all the way through and then make sure to click on the ‘Submit’ button. Our team will collect the data and your sound will be added to the map in a few days!

I am not comfortable with sharing too much.

We care about your privacy just as you do. That’s why most of the questions include an ‘I don’t know/ Prefer not to say’ option. Also, only very basic information about your sound system will be displayed on the map. The rest of the data will be safely stored in our database and only accessible to the SST team.

What will my data be used for?

The Sonic Map is an educational, non-profit project, part of the Sonic Street Technologies (SST) research programme based at Goldsmiths, University of London. The data collected will be used for research purposes only (books, conferences, academic journal articles) and will never be monetised nor transferred to any third parties. Please read our Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form on the first page of the questionnaire to know more about the way your data will managed.

Can I share the survey among my friends and colleagues?

Please do it! Just copy and paste the link via email, Whatsapp, social media and so on!
