Research Project Manager
Charlotte Ayton-George is the Research Project Manager to the ERC-funded Sonic Street Technologies project at Goldsmiths, University of London. She has worked in research project management for the past 10 years, with an emphasis on the financial management of projects. Her experience has included substantial multi-project management in research units and also a clinical trials unit (CTU) based within the University of London. These projects were wide-ranging, focussing on disability and eye health research; operational research; women’s health and mental health research, amongst other areas. As a result, she has developed a keen interest in academic research and looks forward to focussing her skills on the more concentrated area of sonic street technologies – an area of research that ties in with her interests and culture. My main aim is to keep the project on track. The second is to curate a great soundtrack to accompany it! I’m hoping to expand on my love for reggae music and sound systems and discover more about any derivatives of that.
